‘Owzat for a day?!

Rose & VaughnI am a little sore today after a day playing cricket at Wormsley Cricket ground in The Wiseman Trust cricket charity day.

Wormsley is one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in England; it was an absolute privilege to play there, it is located on Sir Paul Gettys estate, just a stone’s throw from junction 5 on the M40.

As an unexpected special treat, we were joined for lunch by some of the triumphant 2005 Ashes winning team. The former England skippers Andrew Strauss and his predecessor Michael Vaughan were there along with quick bowler Simon Jones and all rounder Paul Collingwood.

Our team battled hard and won three games on the way to the final, but lost in the final to a very good side.
