July 2002 was the date the first box was entered into storage with L&R! 10 Years later we are still going strong. The company was founded by two friends, David Rose & Gerry Lewis, who already had over 10 years experience in the industry. Dave & Gerry decided early in 2002 to open a storage facility and provide a records management solutions service.
The unit of 2,5000 sq ft was filled to capacity in the same year, meaning a larger premises was needed. L&R moved to a unit of 15,000 sq feet and word quickly spread about our services. The unit was filled to capacity in 2008. L&R now operate from two sites offering storage, document destruction, scanning and a delivery & collection service.
Company Director Gerry Lewis identifies the businesses success on a couple of factors “The important ingredient is understanding our clients’ needs. Every business has different requirements, we do not have a one size fits all approach, we tailor our service to our clients’ requirements. We also understand how important it is to deliver files back to offices as soon as the requestor needs them. We pride ourselves on our delivery and collection service.
Gerry continues “Documents can take up a lot of room in offices, room which could be maximized for other uses. When the rent and rates per square foot are taken into consideration and the space the documents take up, our service actually saves our clients money. We invest heavily into our secure facilities and technology meaning we are able to offer our clients the very best service”
